“I am a lady in my 60’s and I have been overweight for most of my life. I have been on a diet for the last 30 years, trying every diet out there from high protein to low fat to starving myself for 2 days a week. Most have lasted for a month or so, and then my will power has worn off and the weight has gone back on, plus an extra few pounds.I think I must have helped most of the gyms in my local area in stay in business paying my monthly membership, but never actually going. I could always come up with a plausible reason why I couldn’t go…. “too tired”, “haven’t got time”, blah blah blah….Then I found Turners Nutrition and Fitness (TNF). My whole life has changed. Kerry and Lauren are fantastic and really know their stuff. I have lost two stone and toned up to be two dress sizes smaller. Lauren is only a text away with help, support and advice with my eating, and I now know that I don’t have to cut the food I enjoy to lose weight and stay healthy.
I am so surprised by how much I enjoy exercising! Never in a million years did I think I would. Kerry has shown me that it can be fun and you are allowed to laugh whilst you are doing it. I have now joined the exercise sessions that Kerry runs in the park on a Friday, and love the family sessions on a Saturday morning. I have even got my husband and my grandchildren hooked which is great because we are all getting fit at the same time!At first I thought it was a little expensive, but then I thought “I pay £85 to my hair done and that just only lasts six weeks but what Kerry and Lauren will last me forever!” I have recommended TNF to lots of my friends and would be confident in recommending them to others.

Turners Nutrition and Fitness provide a confidential, personal service and all advice and guidance is given in a professional and friendly manner.Weekly one-to-one meetings have allowed me to gain a great knowledge and insight about living a healthy lifestyle because everything is explained in a way that is easy to understand and makes a lot of sense. During the one-to-one meetings, Lauren gives me her complete attention and is able to tailor my weekly food plan to suit my likes, needs and lifestyle. Each consultation is recorded onto weekly progress charts to allow my progress to be monitored. I have been provided with excellent hand-outs, recipes and guidance on how to balance my food groups.  Daily diary sheets give me gentle reminders to keep on track, alongside regular text contact which keeps me focused and gives me the opportunity to ask questions throughout the week rather than waiting until my weekly meeting. Each week goals are set based upon my progress and challenges from the previous week which makes my goals relevant and achievableLauren has given me lots of ideas to stop me from getting bored with food and compromising my weight loss. I haven’t had to count calories at all and so far I have lost over 1.5st. I have lost weight in a safe and sustainable way which has given me the confidence to continue with the programme because I know it works.

This is what I like about training with Kerry as she keeps you motivated and to be honest I didn’t realise there were so many different exercises you could do, so no time to get bored. “I am a 50 year old lady who has been overweight since my mid-30’s. Having tried several diets over the years, I have managed to lose weight many times but then put it back on as soon as I stopped the diet plan. With Turners Nutrition and Fitness (TNF) I feel it’s the first time I have been in control of my weight over a long period of time. I believe this is due to the individual support and advice given by Lauren, with weekly weigh-ins and tailor-made meal and snack suggestions that are filing and enjoyable. I don’t feel as though I am dieting, I now feel I have been given the knowledge of healthy eating and this has become a way of life and not a short-term diet. “I have been training with Kerry recently and I can honestly say I have learnt more from Kerry than any other gym instructor/trainer. She has a great way of coaching you, bringing fun to each session. She was quickly very aware of my capabilities and she was able to push me to my maximum capabilities. I have already noticed the progression in the weights/drills over a small period of time. Kerry has an incredible knowledge of the body and knows exactly what exercises are best for her clients. All of her programmes are tailored made with a great variety of skills/moves so every time you will try some new but if it’s not working for you then Kerry can give you an alternative immediately.
